James Reimer
Reimer (19-8-4) picked up his 1st shootout win of the season and 5th win in his last 6 games played as he stopped 35 of 38 shots on goal.
Facing a 4 on 3 situation with time winding down in overtime, Reimer came up big for the Leafs stopping two blistering Zdeno Chara slapshots from the left point.
Boston sent out Tyler Seguin and Michael Ryder for the shootout and neither one of them had any success at finding the back of the net thus giving the win to Reimer and his Leafs.
Tim Thomas
Luke Schenn ended Thomas’ shutout streak at 122:21 with his goal at 7:06 of the first period. Thomas hadn’t allowed a goal since the 1st period of the Bruins 2-1 win over Philadelphia on Mar27th.
Highlight of the night came at 0:43 of overtime when Thomas stopped Mikhail Grabovski on a penalty shot. It was his third penalty shot faced this season, ninth of his career.
