🎤 Episode 175 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features recently retired German goalie Jenny Harss, an NCAA champion and two-time Olympian.
In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, Harss shares lessons and insights from an 18-year career that featured 10 appearances at the World Championships, including her first at age 17. She followed that up by posting a.942 save percentage as an 18-year-old at the 2006 Olympics in Torino, and three more seasons in Germany before coming over to the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2009 and posting save percentages of.934,.921 and.926 and winning a national championship during three seasons of college hockey. From there it was back to Germany, where she played primarily in men's pro leagues in addition to the women's world championships and the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He path is full of great lessons that apply to goalies or every age, gender and ability, and her interview is must listen for goalies everywhere, loaded with advice from one of the best in the women's game.

🎥 The new DRS system on @ccmgoalie totally re-designed AXIS 2 pads was developed to get goalies to the ice faster and provide a more stable seal by fixing the inner flap of the knee stack to the inner edge of the pad, which gives the pad a stiffer profile up top and ensures the knee stack won’t get floppy over time, which creates lag between the knee getting to ice ahead of the pad (check the video to see how it all fits together) … it’s hard to miss the crisp, distinct sound of these new pads snapping to the ice, but as you can see in the final photo they also re-did the internal foams on the knee stack itself to reduce impact on the knee by 31.2 percent … to learn more check out the free deep-dive overview at InGoalMag.com
