Backup goaltender Jeff Zatkoff got the call to start when starting goalie Jonathan Bernier was given the night off after posting his own shutout the previous night. Zatkoff stopped all 31 shots from the Bruins and improved his record to (2-1-0) enroute to his first AHL shutout.
Goalie Dany Sabourin, Providence Bruins
Dany Sabourin got the start for Providence Bruins and stopped 25 of 27 shots on goal. The third goal for the Monarchs was an empty netter at 19:51 of the third period. Sabourin’s record drops to (4-2-0) as the Bruins fall into a tie for fourth place in the Atlantic Division.
