Shots on Goal: Goalie Photos-Binghamton Senators Chris Holt vs Manchester Monarchs Jonathan Bernier

The Manchester Monarchs fell to the Binghamton Senators 5-3 thus continuing their longest home losing streak (0-3-1-0). Binghamton continued a streak of their own, winning their fourth straight game on the road.

With the victory, Chris Holt picks up his 12th win of the season (12-12-1) for the Senators. Holt stopped 27 of 30 shots on goal giving Binghamton it’s 26th win of the season (26-30-5-3).

Binghamton forward Denis Hamel started the scoring for the Senators with a power play goal at 3:19 of the first period. The Senators picked up four more goals in the second period, two by Josh Hennessy and one each for Jason Bailey and Ryan Keller.

Jonathan Bernier

Monarchs goalie Jonathan Bernier got credit for the loss, his 18th of the season (26-18-5). Bernier stopped 23 of 28 shot in two periods of work while Jeff Zatkoff stopped all 15 shots he faced in the third period.

Bud Holloway (17) and Justin Azevedo (6) each had a goal and an assist for the Monarchs.

Note: Jonathan Bernier was called up to the Los Angeles Kings after the game on emergency conditions. Jonathan Quick  returned to Los Angeles to be with his wife, who is due to deliver the couple’s first child.
