In their first ever meeting, the Syracuse Crunch picked up their third win in a row with a 3-2 victory over the Lowell Devils this past Wednesday night.

Lowell came out shooting in the third period, scoring their second and final goal at 1:51 when Brad Mills tipped in a Matt Taormina shot from the point past LaCosta.

LaCosta stopped 32 of 34 shots to record his first win since December 11.

Mike McKenna started in goal for the Devils but was replaced by Jeff Frazee at the 8:24 mark of the first period after the Crunch scored two quick goals in less than two minutes. The first coming from Kevin Harvey who found an opening inside the left post. Maksim Mayorov then put the Crunch up 2-0 after he picked up a long rebound and put it past McKenna. The eventual game winning goal came from a Jonathan Sigalet slapshot over Frazee’s blocker.

Frazee stopped 20 of 21 shots on the night dropping his record to (9-9-0).
