Darling Shares Stanley Cup, Journey With CSN (Video)
As if Chicago Blackhawks goalie Scott Darling didn’t have enough on his plate between winning the Stanley Cup last Monday and preparing to coach at the upcoming GGSU Legends Camp this Monday, the Chicago-area native found time to stop by Comcast SportsNet studios to share the Cup and his experience winning it:
It’s been an incredible couple of years for Darling, who was nominated for the Masteron Trophy after going from almost being out of hockey to a hometown Stanley Cup champion, a journey that started in the Southern Professional Hockey League and included playing for 12 teams over four seasons.
After he gets through coaching kids and beer leaguers at next week’s GGSU Legends Camp, Darling has a celebration to plan for his upcoming day with Stanley Cup. Look for more from the inspiring 6-foot-6 goaltender at InGoal Magazine over the summer.
