Graf Goal Sticks Make their Debut

Long-time skate manufacturer branching out its product line

Graf Canada has long been known as one of the leading manufacturers of goal skates but when InGoal spoke with Chairman Claude Lemieux recently we discovered that Graf  has a new line for goalies in store for the upcoming season. While the four-time Stanley Cup winner may not have made his name in goal, he was happy to share his new product with our readers, noting that at under 690 grams the weight of the new Graf G7500 Composite Goal sticks are on par with some of the wooden sticks Lemieux skated with as a forward for six NHL teams from 1985-2009.

Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the heads up with Claude on the new Graf stick.

Did you get any info about the rumored new Graf skate, especially a new cowling with replicable blade?

    Best regards.

Sorry for the typing error, I meant “replaceable” blade.
