Saves of the Season

The NHL network released their “saves of the season” – some of the most remarkable and acrobatic saves by the best goalies in the business.

Favs anyone? Not sure the guys recovering from bonehead puck handling should count…but they sure make for some great recoveries.

Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.

Ohhh, this is missing my favorite save! The one where Roloson dangles from the crossbar like a monkey. This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlT9wRqg8sE I know it’s controversial and probably was required because he was out of position, but seriously…

anyone see Millers 4 on 1 blocker save last night (4-6-10)? a thing of beauty for sure!

I don’t understand how the goalies who need to make up for their major mistake should make the top 10… i think some of the best saves are the 2 on 1 plays. Word to Miller’s save last night.. awesome!
Kippers little back heel kick was pretty nifty (not sure if it was intentional, but definitely different)

Thomas’ is my fav … can’t remember seeing a goalie ever making a save with the back side of the blade of their stick!
