| | As expected, Spencer Knight of the USNTDP was the first goaltender selected last Friday at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Knight was selected in the first round, 13th overall by the Florida Panthers.Of course it was all about being one of the most highly regarded goaltending prospects in years that saw the Panthers call his name, but we like to think his appearance on last week's InGoal Podcast gave him a little InGoal luck for Friday.
Knight was a remarkably engaging guest, with plenty of powerful insights for goaltenders of all ages. And as we have found with many guests, including Martin Brodeur this week, when Knight got to step away from the media spotlight and just talk his craft of goaltending with like-minded people, he really opened up in a way we didn't see when we met him with the rest of the media at the Draft.
