Episode 53 David Leggio

In this Episode of the InGoal Radio Podcast presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, we chat with longtime pro goaltender and coach David Leggio. He’s won a championship with Clarkson University where he earned the leagues top goalie award, he’s been an American League starter. He twice represented his country at  the World Championships and at the 2018 Olympics in South Korea. He won a Finnish league championship with TPS and played 4 years in the German League where he also won a Championship with Red Bull Munich…oh, and you might know him because two leagues changed their rules when he knocked his net over, preferring to face a penalty shot than a 2-on-0, even signaling for the penalty shot himself. We love that bold creativity,  but we loved this interview even more for everything else he brings to the conversation. Leggio has worked with so many great coaches and goalie-partners over the years as he built his own impressive pro resume, that he has insights as a goaltender that make for fascinating conversation. We talk technical insights, deploying tandems, dealing with adversity, including a very significant concussion, and more. We’re already looking forward to our next conversation with David Leggio.
