The Battle Should Be Fun: Career Lessons from Marc-Andre Fleury
How often have you seen an interview where a professional goaltender is asked for one piece of advice for young goalies and they respond by saying “make sure you are having fun?”
We’ve lost count. In fact, it’s become a big part of the mandate at InGoal, to make sure we are taking our readers inside the locker rooms and lives of pro goaltenders and getting answers to questions that matter to them; questions no one else asks and answers beyond “have fun.”
You hear “have fun” so often, it’s tempting to dismiss it as cliché. But here’s the thing about clichés: they exist and become cliché for a reason, usually because they’re true.
Fun really does matter for goalies.
