How offseason routines could affect different NHL goalies now
When Carey Price met with the Montreal media in late June and revealed he had not faced a shot in almost four months since the NHL paused its season because of the Coronavirus, some Canadiens fans expressed concern about their star goalieβs readiness for the re-start.
What those who worried seemed to be missing was the fact this was nothing new for Price, at least in terms of how long he was kept off the ice. For Price, and other veteran goalies who routinely put their gear away until Aug. 1, the pause was like a typical offseason, and getting back on the ice after three and a half months without seeing a shot felt normal.
