It all started with Carey Price sliding into the DMs of Calgary-based airbrush artist Jordon Bourgeault during the offseason with some kind words.
250 hours of designing, prepping and painting later, the Montreal Canadiens star has a new mask on the way and the part-man, part-machine cyborg design is a bold departure from his recent logo-based themes. But just because there aren’t any big logos doesn’t mean this isn’t a Canadiens mask at heart.
The team’s incredible history — between the pipes and beyond — is literally hard-wired into the design. You just have to look a little closer to see all of it.

Congratulations on a spectacular mask. You and Carey must be very pleased and proud. You clearly put a tremendous amount of time and creativity into this mask. I love the HABS history that you linked in and the concept of having access to the best talent throughout their unmatched history. As a retired goalie and marketing professional, I appreciate all that went into this mask.
It’s definitely a great Mask and I like the idea of not making too much Canadiens but it’s crazy how many little things are hidden in the Background. Jordon is definitely a great artist and I like the thinking behind the mask. Only one thing that I don’t like much, i think it doesn’t fit in is Rocket Richard. But it’s an amazing mask and maybe I pick up some ideas for my next mask.
