2 Sides of Price
- Carey Price initiated the collaboration by sliding into Jordon Bourgeault's DMs with a compliment during the offseason.
- The cyborg mask took 250 hours of designing, prepping, and painting to complete.
- Bourgeault embedded the names and stats of historic Montreal Canadiens goalies into the mask's circuitry, representing Price absorbing past goaltenders' knowledge.
- The robotic eye doubles as a camera system, integrated into the cyborg concept for functional realism.
- Bourgeault's approach to the cyborg theme prioritizes anatomical and mechanical authenticity over purely decorative style.
It all started with Carey Price sliding into the DMs of Calgary-based airbrush artist Jordon Bourgeault during the offseason with some kind words.
250 hours of designing, prepping and painting later, the Montreal Canadiens star has a new mask on the way and the part-man, part-machine cyborg design is a bold departure from his recent logo-based themes. But just because there aren’t any big logos doesn’t mean this isn’t a Canadiens mask at heart.
The team’s incredible history — between the pipes and beyond — is literally hard-wired into the design. You just have to look a little closer to see all of it.
