Should You Car Coach?

When it comes to parents coaching their young goalie in the car ride home after a game, most probably think it’s a really bad idea. 

They might be surprised to hear that Brian Daccord, who has worked in the NHL as a goalie coach, scout and director, and is the father to one goalie in the NHL (Joey Daccord of the Seattle Kraken) and another (Alex Daccord of Saint Anselm College) in the NCAA, believes car coaching is not only good, but necessary. 
 
Daccord, who has a new book out called How To Be A Goalie Parent: A Guide For Goalie Parents Of All Levels, shared his reasons and some specific advice on how to approach those drives home as the featured guest on Episode 138 of the InGoal Radio Podcast.
