Analyzing the Vezina Finalists

For the first time in three seasons, the NHL has achieved something like regular-season normalcy—every team managed to complete 82 games. This means that the usual formula for Vezina trophy (top goaltender) consideration could have been applied in its usual way: the general managers (the voters for this award) tend to vote for the goaltender with the highest save percentage, who also 1) has a winning record on a playoff-bound team, and 2) has been the team’s clear starter, appearing in at least 50 games, preferably more.
