The CCM EFlex 7 Customizers are live, but the equipment isn’t the only thing that’s exciting.

In addition to improved features on the new EFlex 7 pads, blocker and (perhaps most of all) glove, CCM has also made significant upgrades to the customizer itself, with rotating gear and 3D-style graphics that really bring the new designs to life on your screen.

They’ve also launched the customizer for 3 product levels: Total Custom Pro, Total Custom, and EFlex 7.9 (that’s right, CCM is adding custom options for their second price point line). Another customizer for the All Out full custom graphics program will follow.

So, what’s new for the CCM EFlex 7 beyond the stylish new customizer itself?

InGoal Magazine will save our usual deep-dive review for closer to the full retail launch, and after we’ve had a chance to get feedback from more goalies at multiple levels. But we can share a few of the big highlights now, including a new sliding surface material called Cross Glide Technology (CGT) that replaces Speed Skin on the inside edge because it tested and performed better on all ice conditions, whether fresh or chopped up and snowy.

Noticeably smoother to the touch, we can’t wait to try out CGT and let you know how it performs but the early anecdotal — and numbers-backed — reviews are positive.

There are other changes to the new EFlex 7 pad, including a new sure grip knee area option and a third-generation update of their QMSS strapping, and again we will dig into all of the expanded offerings in our full review. But in the meantime, for those in a rush to convert their customizer creations into actual orders, CCM does include a link to their 2025 Goalie Customizer Catalogue that lets you check out new features and options at each level.

There is, however, one update that requires a special early call out, and that’s the return of the 580-break glove, which also features the return of finger stalls, a feel and shape in line with what the pros have long worn, and an upgrade in ease of closure so significant some retailers ordered all pro palms and the gloves still snap open and closed out of the box:

The new glove comes stock with a plus-1 single-t that creates a noticeably deeper pocket but again you can check out all the available specs in the various customizers below and look for a complete breakdown in the coming months here at InGoal Magazine.

For now, however, get into the customizers below and start building your dream set.

As mentioned above, there are 3 levels that launched today.

We’ll start with Total Custom Pro, with access to the same spec sheets as NHL goalies:

The next step down is Total Custom, which still offers a lot of custom options, but not quite as many as Total Custom Pro. The exact differences are outlined and explained in the 2025 Goalie Customizer Catalogue, but this simple table shows how the pad options shrink:

You can check out those options for Total Custom here:

Last, but certainly not least given it is entirely new, is the EFlex 7.9 customizer, which gives goalies some control of their colorways, as well as having their name embroidered.

Like the other levels, we’ll save a deeper dive review for later, but a lot of the important details are outlined through the new customizer itself:

EFLEX 7.9 CUSTOMIZER

There it is, in an over-simplified nutshell, your first crack at designing the latest EFlex line from CCM. Look for more, including a contest from us here at InGoal Magazine to win a set of your own, as April continues and we dig into the review process further.

In the meantime, happy customizing! If you’re anything like us, you will lose days to the design process, but try to remember to sleep and make sure to mix in a water.
