This is an extended power play earlier this season against the Washington Capitals, and the puck has just been chipped up from the corner to Alexander Ovechkin on the left boards:
Does it matter that Ovechkin is on his forehand? Is he a shooting threat?
What are the most dangerous threats on the ice? Does their handedness matter?
If Ovechkin makes that cross-ice pass, are you coming across on your feet or sliding?
Lastly, what do you notice about Greaves above — his depth, angle and gaze?
THE SAVE
Ask yourself the same questions as you watch the replay now?
In that 15 second replay, how many times does he look off the puck to scan the zone?
What do you make of the decision to come across on the feet?
Given how open the shooter was, would you have challenged more?
