Briere’s Goalie School

Since 2000, Briere’s Goalie School has developed 5,000+ athletes and sent 150+ goalies to the professional ranks, led by NHL goaltending coach Steve Briere, whose career spans NAHL, USHL, NCAA, and NHL levels.

What sets BGS apart is the philosophy behind the model. Coach Briere built this program specifically to reject the traditional academy approach, where families relocate, kids leave home too early, and the financial strain can derail development before it even starts. BGS delivers elite, structured training while goalies stay home, stay connected to their families, and build within their own communities.

The BGS Academy is an application-only, 1:1 program combining advanced on-ice instruction, off-ice development, and mentorship for highly motivated goaltenders pursuing the next level.

The Mentorship Program provides personalized video analysis and direct coaching from Steve Briere, available to goalies across North America and worldwide throughout the season.

BGS Camps run each summer across developmental, elite, goal scoring, and prospects tracks, with individualized feedback and a high-performance environment at every level.
