Director and Owner – Nate Skidmore, the Director and Owner of Icebound Athletics, LLC, is a figure in the hockey community who is working to reshape the landscape of player and goalie development through the relentless pursuit of excellence. Playing Experience From Syracuse, NY, Skidmore started his hockey journey with the Syracuse Stars, Pembroke Lumber Kings, Gloucester Rangers, and Buffalo Junior Sabres. He went on to play for SUNY Potsdam in NCAA Division III. His time at SUNY Potsdam was marked by extraordinary achievements. As a standout goalie, he garnered numerous accolades, including Most Valuable Player Award as a senior and four-year AHCA Academic All-American honoree. He earned a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.S. in Management at SUNY Potsdam. His leadership on and off the ice earned him the respect of his teammates and coaches, setting the stage for his future as a mentor. The Professional Coaching Journey Upon graduating, Skidmore embarked on a professional coaching career. He currently is an NCAA Division I Assistant Coach for Niagara University with previous coaching jobs with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NCAA Div. I), Odessa Jackalopes (NAHL), and Williams College (NCAA Div. III). His player development has consistently elevated the caliber of players he’s coached to earn All-Team Awards, and in junior hockey, to earn NCAA Division I scholarships.
