Snowman Goaltending

Chris first began goalie coaching in 2006 as a freshman at Northern Arizona University working with adults in the
Flagstaff Trainwreck program. He quickly included the younger age group from the Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association
in his coaching. During this time, Chris was also appointed Goaltending Director for the Flagstaff Avalanche from
2016-2018.

In 2019, Chris moved from Flagstaff to Phoenix but continued his coaching by working alongside Hiroki Wakabayashi
of the World Hockey Lab assisting with the Desert Youth Hockey Association’s Junior Sun Devils. Chris has continued
to work with individuals, teams and organizations all across the country from novice to collegiate.

In 2024, he was selected as Goalie Coach for the NAU Ice Jacks. He was also awarded USA Hockey Goaltending’s Gold
Coach certification for his project on Parent and Goaltender Education and Retention. Chris continues to host his own
private goaltending instruction while working in the hockey equipment industry. Snowman Goaltending is the
production of Chris’s passion for competitive hockey while expanding the network of people he is able to share his
experience and knowledge with.
