Alex Stalock was born on July 28, 1987, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the fourth round, 21st pick of that round, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The left-catching goaltender stands 5'11" and weighs 170 pounds.
Over 179 NHL regular-season games, Stalock went 70–65–20 with a 2.70 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and 11 shutouts. He appeared with the Sharks and later the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks before his playing career concluded.
After retiring from professional play, Stalock transitioned to broadcasting, joining the San Jose Sharks organization as a radio color commentator.
