Andrew Raycroft
Andrew Raycroft, born May 4, 1980, in Belleville, Ontario, was selected by the Boston Bruins in the fifth round, 21st pick, of the 1998 NHL Draft. Standing 6'1" and weighing 180 pounds, the left-catching goaltender went on to win the Calder Memorial Trophy with Boston in 2004 as the NHL's rookie of the year.
Over a career spanning 280 NHL games, Raycroft posted 113 wins, 114 losses, and 17 overtime losses, with a goals-against average of 2.89, a save percentage of .900, and 9 shutouts. Beyond Boston, he dressed for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, and Dallas Stars before also playing professionally in Europe with Hockey Milano Rossoblu and IF Björklöven. Since retiring, Raycroft has moved into media work.
