Brent Krahn
Brent Krahn arrived at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft with considerable attention, selected ninth overall by the Calgary Flames out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Born on April 2, 1982, the left-catching goaltender stood 6'4" and weighed 232 pounds — a large frame for the position at the time of his selection.
Krahn's path to the NHL proved lengthy. He appeared in one NHL game during his professional career, that single appearance coming with the Dallas Stars rather than the organization that drafted him. In that lone outing, he posted a goals-against average of 9.00 and a save percentage of .667, numbers that reflect the brevity of the appearance rather than any extended run.
InGoal Magazine has not previously published coverage of Krahn.
