Bruce Racine
Bruce Racine, born August 9, 1966, in Cornwall, Ontario, spent the better part of fifteen years as a professional goaltender, the vast majority of that time in the minor leagues. The left-catching netminder stood 6'0" and weighed 190 pounds.
Selected by Pittsburgh in the third round, 16th pick of that round, in the 1985 NHL Draft, Racine's path to the NHL was a long one. His lone appearance at the sport's highest level came with the St. Louis Blues during the 1995β96 season, more than a decade after he was drafted. Over 11 NHL games, he recorded no wins against 3 losses, a 3.13 goals-against average, and a .881 save percentage. His professional career ran from 1988 to 2003.
