Daniel Lorenz
Daniel Lorenz was born on December 12, 1969, in Murrayville, British Columbia. A left-catching goaltender listed at 5'10" and 183 pounds, he was selected by the New York Islanders in the third round β 16th pick of that round β of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft.
Lorenz appeared in eight NHL games with the Islanders between 1990 and 1993, recording one win and five losses with a goals-against average of 4.20 and a save percentage of .856. The remainder of a professional career that stretched from 1989 to 2004 was spent primarily in the minor leagues. Following his playing days, he became youth hockey director of the Kent Valley Hockey Association in Kent, Washington.
