Frederic Chabot
Frédéric Chabot was born on February 12, 1968, in Herbertville Station, Quebec, and was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the tenth round of the 1986 NHL Draft, third pick of that round. The right-catching goaltender stood 5'11" and weighed 187 pounds.
Chabot's NHL career spanned parts of five seasons, with appearances for the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, and Los Angeles Kings between 1991 and 1999. Over 32 NHL games, he posted 4 wins, 8 losses, a 2.95 goals-against average, and a .894 save percentage. The bulk of his playing career, which ran from 1989 to 2006, was spent in the minor leagues and in Europe.
After his playing days concluded, Chabot moved into coaching. He currently serves as the goaltending coach for the Minnesota Wild.
