Gleb Peshkov

Gleb Peshkov is a goaltender selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft. Born November 5, 2007 in Kopeysk, near the Urals hockey hotbed of Chelyabinsk, the 6-foot-3 Russian netminder catches with his right hand — and spent his draft season roughly 9,000 kilometres and seven time zones from home, with Taifun, the Vladivostok-based junior affiliate of the KHL's Admiral, on Russia's Pacific coast.

He posted one of the strongest lines of any goalie in the class: 22-15-8 with a 2.04 goals-against average, a .930 save percentage and five shutouts across 47 games, and was named the MHL's Western Conference Goaltender of the Month for March 2026. He set the Taifun club record for shutouts and backstopped the franchise to the best season in its history and its first-ever playoff berth — which he clinched himself, stopping two of three shooters in a shootout.

The signature night came in Yaroslavl on January 18, 2026, when he stopped 37 shots to blank Lokomotiv — the Western Conference's first-place club, whose own goaltender was later named the MHL's best — in a 2-0 road upset.
