Greg Stefan
Greg Stefan was born on February 11, 1961, in Brantford, Ontario β the same city that produced Wayne Gretzky β and went on to spend the bulk of his NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings after being selected in the seventh round of the 1981 NHL Draft, 128th overall. The left-catching goaltender stood 5'11" and weighed 180 pounds.
Over 299 NHL games, Stefan recorded 115 wins, 127 losses, a 3.93 goals-against average, a .868 save percentage, and 5 shutouts. Following his playing career, he moved into goaltending coaching and currently serves in that role with the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League.
