Hannu Toivonen
Hannu Toivonen was selected by the Boston Bruins with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Born on May 18, 1984, in Kalvola, Finland, the 6'2", 200-pound left-catching goaltender went on to appear in 61 NHL games across his career, split between the Bruins and the St. Louis Blues, posting 18 wins, 24 losses, 10 overtime losses, a 3.37 goals-against average, a .890 save percentage, and 1 shutout.
After his NHL career, Toivonen returned to Finland to play for Tampereen Ilves of the Liiga. He currently serves as goaltending coach for the Toronto Marlies.
