Jason Muzzatti
Jason Muzzatti was born on February 3, 1970, in Toronto, Ontario, and became one of the higher-profile goaltending selections in the 1988 NHL Draft, taken in the first round, 21st overall. Standing 6'2" and weighing 214 pounds, the left-catching netminder went on to play 62 NHL games across five seasons, from 1993 to 1998, appearing for four different organizations. Over that NHL career, he posted 13 wins, 25 losses, a 3.33 goals-against average, a .894 save percentage, and 1 shutout.
The bulk of Muzzatti's professional career — which stretched from 1991 to 2007 — was spent in minor leagues and in Europe. After his playing days concluded, he moved into coaching. He currently serves as the goaltending coach for the Carolina Hurricanes.
