Jean-Francois Damphousse
Jean-François Damphousse was born on July 21, 1979, in St. Alexis Des Monts, Quebec. The New Jersey Devils selected him in the first round, 24th overall, of the 1997 NHL Draft. A left-catching goaltender listed at 6'0" and 146 pounds, he wore jersey number 1.
Damphousse appeared in six NHL games with the Devils, posting one win and three losses, a 2.45 goals-against average, and a .896 save percentage. The bulk of his professional career, which ran from 1999 to 2005, was spent in the American Hockey League. Following his playing days, he moved into scouting at the NHL level.
