Jeff Glass waited more than a decade for his NHL debut. Born in Calgary, Alberta, on November 19, 1985, Glass was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the third round (24th pick) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. After spending several seasons in the Senators organization, he departed as a free agent in 2009 to join Barys Astana, beginning an extended run in professional hockey outside the NHL. He finally reached the league in the 2017–18 season with the Chicago Blackhawks, appearing in 15 NHL games over the course of his career — going 3–7–3 with a 3.36 goals-against average and a .898 save percentage.
