Johan Hedberg
Johan Hedberg was born on May 5, 1973, in Leksand, Sweden, and spent several years playing professionally in Sweden before moving to North America in 1997. The Pittsburgh Penguins had selected him in the ninth round of the 1994 NHL Draft, 10th pick of that round, and he eventually made his NHL debut in 2000.
Over a professional career that stretched from 1993 to 2014, Hedberg appeared in NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, Dallas Stars, Atlanta Thrashers, and New Jersey Devils, as well as returning to Leksands IF in the Swedish Elitserien at various points.
