Manny Legace
Manny Legace was born on February 4, 1973, in Toronto, Ontario, and went undrafted until the eighth round of the 1993 NHL Draft, when he was selected with the sixth pick of that round. Left-handed catching, he stood 5'10" and weighed 200 pounds.
Over the course of his NHL career, Legace appeared in 365 games, recording 187 wins, 99 losses, and 23 overtime losses. He posted a career goals-against average of 2.41, a save percentage of .912, and 24 shutouts. His longest tenure at the NHL level came with the Detroit Red Wings and later the St. Louis Blues, with additional stops at the Los Angeles Kings and Carolina Hurricanes. He also played internationally, suiting up for the Iserlohn Roosters of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
After his NHL career wound down, Legace finished his playing days with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, where he became the franchise's all-time leader in goaltending wins.
