Marc Denis
Marc Denis, born August 1, 1977, in Montréal, Quebec, was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round — 25th overall — of the 1995 NHL Draft. The left-catching goaltender stood 6'1" and weighed 193 pounds during his playing career.
Denis played 349 NHL games over the course of his career, recording 112 wins, 179 losses, and 3 overtime losses, with a goals-against average of 3.02, a save percentage of .902, and 16 shutouts. He last played in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens.
Following his playing career, Denis moved into player development and broadcasting. For the 2009–10 season, he was hired as the goaltenders' coach of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He subsequently became a colour analyst for the Montreal Canadiens on the French-language sports network RDS.
