Mark Fitzpatrick
Mark Fitzpatrick was born in Toronto, Ontario on November 13, 1968, and grew up in Kitimat, British Columbia, where he began playing minor hockey. Before reaching the professional ranks, he won the Memorial Cup twice as a member of the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Los Angeles Kings selected him in the second round, sixth pick, of the 1987 NHL Draft.
A left-catching goaltender standing 6'2" and weighing 198 pounds, Fitzpatrick went on to play 329 games in the NHL, recording 113 wins, 136 losses, a 3.12 goals-against average, a .896 save percentage, and 8 shutouts. His career included stops with the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Chicago Blackhawks.
