Selected in the sixth round, seventh pick, of the 1999 NHL Draft, the right-catching goaltender stood 6'2" and weighed 176 pounds. Since retiring from playing, Prusek has moved into coaching. He currently serves as the goaltending coach for HC Vítkovice Steel of the Czech Extraliga — a return, in a coaching capacity, to the hockey environment of his home region.
