Mathieu Chouinard
Mathieu Chouinard, a left-catching goaltender from Laval, Quebec, had one of the more unusual draft histories in recent NHL memory. Selected by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the 2000 NHL Draft with the 15th pick, he went on to appear in one NHL game β with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2003β04 season β logging no decisions and a save percentage of 1.000 on zero shots against recorded in that appearance. The professional career that surrounded that single NHL game ran from 2000 to 2006, with the bulk of his time spent in the minor leagues.
Standing 6'1" and weighing 211 pounds, Chouinard wore jersey number 46. InGoal Magazine has not previously covered his career.
