Matt Zaba

Matt Zaba, born July 14, 1983, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, spent the bulk of his professional career outside the NHL spotlight. A left-catching goaltender standing 6'1" and weighing 190 pounds, he was selected by the New York Rangers in the eighth round, second pick, of the 2003 NHL Draft.

His NHL résumé amounts to a single appearance with the Rangers in 2010, during which he posted a goals-against average of 3.56 and a save percentage of .875 with no wins, losses, or overtime losses recorded. The remainder of his playing career, which ran from 2007 to 2015, took place in the minor leagues and in European competition, including leagues in Italy and Austria.
