Paxton Schafer

Paxton Schafer was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 21st pick of that round, in the 1995 NHL Draft. Standing 5'9" and weighing 152 pounds, the left-catching goaltender appeared in three games for Boston during the 1996–97 season, recording no wins and no losses, with a goals-against average of 4.65 and a save percentage of .760. The remainder of his professional career, which extended from 1996 to 2003, was spent in various minor leagues. He continued playing senior hockey after his professional career concluded, retiring in 2012.
