Pete Peeters
Pete Peeters was born in Edmonton, Alberta on August 17, 1957, and was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the eighth round of the 1977 NHL amateur draft, 11th pick of that round. He went on to play 13 seasons in the NHL for the Flyers, the Boston Bruins, and the Washington Capitals. During his career he appeared in 489 games, recording 246 wins, 156 losses, a goals-against average of 3.09, a save percentage of .886, and 21 shutouts. Peeters appeared in the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals with Philadelphia and was part of the Team Canada roster that won the 1984 Canada Cup.
