Ryan Cameron is a goaltender selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the seventh round (212th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft. Born August 21, 2007 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia, the 6-foot-2 netminder catches with his left hand and is committed to Boston College.
He arrived with a genuine pedigree. As a rookie in the NAHL with the Lone Star Brahmas in 2024-25, Cameron was named USA Hockey's Dave Peterson Goaltender of the Year — a national honour — along with the NAHL's Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards, posting a 1.24 goals-against average, a .948 save percentage and nine shutouts. He stepped up to the USHL the next season and became Cedar Rapids' workhorse, starting 40 games, winning 24 and carrying the RoughRiders to a Clark Cup playoff berth.
Passed over in 2025, he earned his selection a year later; NHL Central Scouting ranked him 33rd among North American goaltenders. "Every night I want to give my team a chance to win," he told The Hockey News. InGoal Magazine will expand its coverage as his career develops.
