Scott Darling
Scott Darling, born December 22, 1988, in Newport News, Virginia, spent six seasons working through professional hockey before establishing himself at the NHL level. Selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the sixth round, second pick of that round, 153rd overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, the left-catching goaltender stood 6'5" and weighed 226 pounds — a considerable frame by any measure at the position.
Darling went on to play for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Carolina Hurricanes during his NHL career. Across 126 NHL regular-season games, he recorded 54 wins, 42 losses, and 18 overtime losses, with a 2.72 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and 4 shutouts.
InGoal Magazine has not previously published coverage of Darling.
