Tobias Tvrznik (Czech: Tvrzník) is a goaltender selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round (126th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft. Born July 29, 2007 in Litoměřice, Czechia, the 6-foot-4 netminder catches with his right hand. His father, Daniel, was a professional forward turned coach who tried to steer his son away from the crease — "from the time he was little he insisted he wanted to be a goalie, even though I tried to talk him out of it," Daniel told iSport — and Tobias would go on to make his own pro debut for the hometown Litoměřice club where his father long coached.

He announced himself in North America immediately: in his WHL debut on September 20, 2025 against Everett, Tvrznik made 60 saves — tying a franchise record that has stood across four eras, from the Edmonton ICE of 1996 to today's Wenatchee Wild. He went on to a Del Wilson Trophy finalist season (WHL Goaltender of the Year), was one of only five goalies invited to the NHL Scouting Combine, and posted a .913 save percentage — third in the WHL — behind one of the league's heaviest workloads.

A product of HC Sparta Praha's junior program, Tvrznik is committed to Ohio State. "I am proud and honoured to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Ohio State," he said in a Wenatchee Wild release. "Thank you to my family, friends, my agent, and coaches for making this possible."

This page gathers Tvrznik's numbers, measurements, and draft details in one place. InGoal Magazine will expand its coverage as his career develops.
