Tomas Popperle

Tomáš Pöpperle, a left-catching goaltender born in Broumov, Czech Republic on October 10, 1984, was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fifth round, 131st overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Standing 6'1" and weighing 187 pounds, he appeared in 2 NHL games for Columbus during the 2006–07 season, posting a 1.35 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. The remainder of his professional career was spent in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga and the Czech Extraliga, where he had begun playing as early as 2003.
