Vitali Yeremeyev

Vitali Yeremeyev was born on September 23, 1975, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan — a city that has produced a notable number of professional hockey players. A left-catching goaltender standing 5'10" and weighing 190 pounds, he was selected by the New York Rangers in the ninth round, first pick, of the 1994 NHL Draft.

Yeremeyev appeared in four games with the New York Rangers during the 2000–01 NHL season, going 0–4 with a 4.52 goals-against average and a .846 save percentage. The remainder of a professional career that stretched from 1992 to 2014 was spent playing in Russia, primarily in the Russian Superleague and the Kontinental Hockey League.

Internationally, Yeremeyev represented the Kazakhstani national team at multiple World Championships and competed at the Winter Olympics in both 1998 and 2006.
