Yegor Rybkin is a goaltender selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (89th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft, and one of the most unusual prospects in the class: a netminder listed at 6-foot-7 by NHL Central Scouting (the Russian league's own record has him at 6-foot-6) who moves like a man far smaller. "Rybkin is the most unique goaltender in this year's draft," Elite Prospects scout Max Lee wrote.
Born December 3, 2007 in Yegoryevsk, near Moscow, the right-catching goaltender relocated into the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod system and played for its MHL junior club, Chaika. His draft season ended abruptly — after appearing on November 21, 2025, his game log simply stops — and he finished with an 11-game line of 5-2-0, a 2.56 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
Scouts marvel at the rare mobility at his size — "the most unique goaltender in this year's draft," one Elite Prospects scout wrote. The Kings, who have made a habit of drafting and developing big goaltenders, added him on Day 2.
