Braden Holtby did this simple ball drill for 5 hours

Last time InGoal checked in with sports psychologist John Stevenson, he promised to teach you how to juggle in just 10 minutes, and we’re happy to report many succeeded.

Several people tagged us with videos of them working on their juggling skills, including Ottawa Senators goalie development coach Kory Cooper (@KCGoaltending on Instagram), who at 43 was successfully juggling for the first time just one day after Stevenson’s lesson went live.

“This was a mental battle,” Cooper wrote. “But I stayed focused on the process and it’s working. This is a small thing for most people, but small things add up!”

Stevenson, an Edmonton-based sports psychologist whose client list most famously includes Carter Hart of the Philadelphia Flyers and Stanley Cup-winning Washington Capitals No.1 Braden Holtby, couldn’t agree more. He loved that Cooper talked about “focusing on the process,” advice he’s shared with other goalie coaches and parents who have since contacted him with young goaltenders frustrated they couldn’t juggle after 10 minutes.
