It all started with Carey Price sliding into the DMs of Calgary-based airbrush artist Jordon Bourgeault during the offseason with some kind words.

250 hours of designing, prepping and painting later, the Montreal Canadiens star has a new mask on the way and the part-man, part-machine cyborg design is a bold departure from his recent logo-based themes. But just because there aren’t any big logos doesn’t mean this isn’t a Canadiens mask at heart.

The team’s incredible history — between the pipes and beyond — is literally hard-wired into the design. You just have to look a little closer to see all of it.
