Goalies having great season

The University of Michigan has had a long string of 3 and 4 year starters including Steve Shields, Marty Turco and others.

This season coach Red Berenson expected Senior Billy Sauer to continue to receive the bulk of the games, but sophmore Bryan Hogan has pushed for more playing time and the team is giving him better goal support.

Sauer is 3-6 with a 2.33 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. Hogan, 13-2 with a 1.83 GAA and a .920 save percentage, will start in net tonight, when the Wolverines face Michigan State at Joe Louis Arena.
